Muhammed Fayiz is the founder and CEO of Northern Plan Manufacturing, a dynamic business venture based in Kerala, India. His entrepreneurial journey began in 2018 when, while awaiting his 10th-grade exam results, he and his father, Abdul Basith, launched "Chain", a retail store in Villiappally, Vadakara. The shop, which sold cycles, toys, sports goods, and gifts, quickly gained popularity, but their momentum was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. During this challenging period, Fayiz faced personal hardships, including losing INR 10,000 to INR 20,000 in an online scam, which led to public ridicule and depression. However, instead of giving up, he used these setbacks as motivation to explore the growing digital marketplace.
Undeterred by adversity, Fayiz single handedly built a multi-vendor e-commerce platform called Sooqeway during the pandemic, integrating local businesses into an online marketplace, with inspiration drawn from his mother, Najma. As his digital venture grew, Fayiz also expanded his retail operations, opening a second "Chain" outlet in Ayancheri. However, despite his success in business, he faced another hurdle when his academic performance in his +2 exams fell short. Rather than being disheartened, he pivoted toward developing technical skills, enrolling in RedTeam Hacker Academy to study ethical hacking. Armed with certifications in cybersecurity, Fayiz continued to balance his academic growth with his expanding business ventures.
Under his leadership, Northern Plan Manufacturing has grown into a multifaceted company with multiple business verticals, including the Zidocs Juniors Clothing brand, which focuses on kids' fashion. The company operates across retail, wholesale, and business services, constantly seeking new opportunities for growth. Fayiz’s latest vision is to enter the beverage industry by establishing a production factory for alkaline water and other beverages, with plans to set up operations in locations like Calicut, Kannur, or Kochi. His journey, filled with personal challenges and professional milestones, is a testament to his resilience, adaptability, and relentless pursuit of innovation.
